Sabater USA is a leading food manufacturer of spices and seasonings, botanical herbs and teas based in Long Beach, CA.
The company is part of a multinational group with presence in Spain, China, Senegal and Peru. We are looking for a new position for a Junior Sales Representative who is a self-starter and HIGHLY motivated with the ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment and collaborate with a company of talented, motivated individuals.
The Junior Sales Representative is a team player with an outgoing, customer-service approach to daily responsibilities. This is a great entry point for a career with us, for someone who already has customer service or a sales background in spices, botanicals, snack foods, seasonings, etc. Must have food manufacturing experience.
The candidate must be able to help prospect business, support in current sales and assist with new business and growth. The candidate will also perform administrative duties, such as sales reports, maintaining records of sales or other business transactions. Attend trade shows and willing to travel to visit customers. This position is onsite in Carson, CA and reports to the Sales Manager.
What You'll Do (but not limited to):
- Actively find and develop new leads/accounts to help ensure the company actualizes its maximum sales potential.
- Outbound calls to potential or current customers via in-person, telephone, or email to understand their needs and make recommendations; identifies and suggests products or services that will meet those needs and interests.
- Communicate effectively to answer customers’ questions about products, prices and availability while maintaining a commitment to superior and distinctive service.
- Support in managing products and establish positive relationships with customers.
- Assist identifying potential new markets. Monitor market conditions, product innovations or trends.
- Prepares sales contracts and order forms.
- Consult with customers after sales or contract signings to assist in resolving any issues and provide ongoing support.
- Attends and helps organize Trade Shows. Acts as a company representative at trade association meetings or events.
- Become familiar and knowledgeable of the company’s full product line and services or other areas of expertise.
What You'll Need:
- Strong communication skills with both Sabater employees and customers.
- Proficiency in computer skills, such as PC, Microsoft Office 365 (including Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Full-time availability.
- A professional appearance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to multi-task.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent 4+ years of experience and education.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Self-motivated and target-driven individual. High energy level and positive attitude. Long-term career minded.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings or industry events as required.
- Must have food and sales manufacturing experience.

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
